Elections for the Council of Representatives were held in November. In at the inaugural meeting of the Council, the Council of Representatives was incomplete. That was because some were elected to the Student Union Board.
The Council of Representatives is the highest decision-making body in the Student Union. The Council of Representatives is in charge of defining policies and it confirms, for example, the plan of work and the budget for the Student Union.
The Council of Representatives has 21 members. In the by-elections in 2021, two members will be elected to the Council. All members of the Student Union who have fulfilled their obligation to the Student Union and are registered as present for the academic year 2020–2021 may stand for election.
Standing for election in the Student Union of HAMK’s Council of Representatives election begins on Friday 18.12.2020 at 4 pm and ends on Monday 18.1.2020 at 4 pm.
The electoral officials will be named on 25.1.2021.
The list of those eligible to vote will be checked on 1.2.2021. All students, who have fulfilled their obligation to the Student Union by that time, are eligible to vote in the Council of Representatives election.
Voting will begin on Monday 8.2.2021 at 9 am and end on Wednesday 10.2.2021 at 4 pm.
Election results will be announced no later than 11.2.2021.
The Council of Representatives election is electronic, and the voting link will be sent to all members. The voting link for the electronic voting system will be sent to the Student Union members’ HAMK email address (@student.hamk.fi) in the beginning of the election.
