HAMKO’s Board had their inaugural meeting.
The Board will start working in 2021 with following areas of responsibilities:
Jere Ojala: President of the Board
Leidi-Kristal Kohonen: Vice President of the Board
Emmi Liias: Welfare, Student Culture
Aleksi Heinilä: Student Culture
Rami Pennanen: Member benefits and services, Internationality
Ilona Siili: Communications, Sports
Aino Lipsanen: Counselling and orientation
Veera Volanen: Quality and feedback, Career and employment
Rami and Aino will be Student Union’s harassment officers in 2021.
The Board shared their feelings this week:
“At the beginning of last week, we were able to get to know each other and share responsibilities. During those days, up-to-date information and useful tips about working in the Board were taken over. We are waiting for Christmas and start to preparing for next year!”
The Chairperson and the Vice Chairperson of the Council of Representative works closely with the Board each year. Heli Mononen, who is the Chairperson of the Council of Representatives next year, commented:
“A lot of interesting things will happen next year and it is a pleasure to see how actively the Board is about to begin its term. Having been involved for so long, it was really nice to see how easily and effortlessly the Board agreed on how they will share responsibility and teamed up well even though the orientation had to be arranged by way of exception.“
