Welcome to HAMKO’s annual celebration of the beginning of the academic year, Alkupamaus! HAMK’s opening of the academic year, Sytytys ignites the evening, and after that, the celebration continues with HAMKO’s Alkupamaus.
(Sytytys means ignition in English, and Alkupamaus means Big Bang)
Sytytys is an event open to all HAMK students, which celebrates HAMK’s 30th anniversary. More information about Sytytys and registration are here. From the Sytytys, you can stay and celebrate Alkupamaus with us! In addition to HAMK students, other students and student-minded people are also welcome to the Alkupamaus.
The event has a checkpoint track, an event market and after-party. The theme of the event is animals. So dig out the best animal prints from your closet, and release your inner animal on the dance floor!
We gathered the information you need here.
Venue
Alkupamaus is celebrated at Hämeenlinna’s Loimua Arena. The checkpoint track goes around the Arena and the after-party takes place in the Arena. Start and finish of the checkpoint track in front of the Arena, at the HAMKO tent.
Address: Härkätie 17 B, 13130 Hämeenlinna
The place is the same where Sytytys, the opening event of HAMK’s academic year, is held. The event has food stalls and beverage areas both inside and outside. Toilets of the arena are open during the hold event.
Checkpoint track
The checkpoint track goes around Loimua Arena. The departure takes place from the HAMKO tent in the event marketplace, where you can get an info booklet. There are different types of tasks on the checkpoint track, which can be completed in any order. If there is a queue at one of the points, feel free to go to the other points first. You can complete any number of checkpoints. Prizes will be drawn among the participants. If you want to participate in the raffle, return the booklet to the tent.
The recommended team size is 2-10 people. In teams larger than this, it is better to divide into smaller ones with checkpoints, so it will be easier to complete. Checkpoints are open between 5 and 9 p.m.
Event market
At the event market, you can find e.g. partners of the student union who have gathered to meet the students. Visit the stands to see what they have to offer! The event market is open from 16:30 to 20:00.
Tickets
The ticket price is €14 for HAMKO members and €18 for non-members. The cloakroom fee is included in the ticket price. The overall badge of the event serves as an admission ticket for the after-party, so you need it to get to Loimua Areena. If you want, you can attach the overalls badge to the overalls etc. already before the event.
Tickets are on sale at Kide.app and the HAMKO office.
