Students welcome May Day in Häme with traditional festivities

Hämeenlinna University of Applied Sciences students will welcome May Day at several HAMK locations.

In Hämeenlinna, the May Day celebration will begin in Sibelius Park, when the Sibelius statue will receive a cap on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, starting at 3:30 p.m. The capping ceremony will feature student speeches and a May Day greeting from the Hämeenlinna Sibelius Society.

These May Day ceremonial capping ceremonies, open to all, will feature festive wishes and speeches, the famous statue will be capped, and in some locations, engineering students who have been granted the right to use the cap will also put on their caps.

The events are free and open to everyone, welcome to follow, whether you are a student or not. Welcome to start May Day with the students!
