There were 5 vacant seats for the 2024 term in the Häme University of Applied Sciences’ Student Union Representative Council, and nominations for the by-elections were running from 18.12.2023 to 22.1.2024.
Five students stood for election within the deadline, all of whom the central election board found to be eligible for election. Eligible for election, i.e. who stand as candidate in the student union elections, are all members of the student union of Häme University of Applied Sciences who have a valid membership in the student union and have enrolled as present students.
According of the Student Union Election Regulations, if there are as many or fewer successful candidates in the election as there are seats to be filled, the candidates shall be elected directly as members of the Representative Council.
Thus, the central election committee has confirmed both nominated members to be elected directly to the representative council in 2024 without an actual election. The final confirmation will be made by the representative council of the student union at its next meeting.
Confirmed by the Central Election Committee, the following persons were elected to the representative council for the term 2024:
