The Häme University of Applied Sciences student union trustees for 2026 were elected at the organizational meeting of the representative council held on Monday, November 24, 2025.
The meeting confirmed the composition of the representative council for 2026, elected a chair and vice-chair for the representative council, and elected a board.
The Representative Council of the Student Union
Eemeli Mäenpää, who is studying Traffic and Transport Management, was elected as the Chair of the Representative Council. Ida Heikkinen, who is studying to be a nurse, was elected as the Vice-Chair of the Council.
“I am looking forward to the activities of the new board and I myself look forward to the meetings and joint discussions of the representative council. I also want to continue to influence the interests of the students,” says Eemeli.
Ida describes feelings: “It is exciting, but I am looking forward to what next year will bring.”
Some of those elected to the representative council applied for and were elected to the board. Joona Kröger and Hilla Rantala, who were reserve candidates in the representative elections, became full members of the representative council after the election of the board. Student Union Board
Silja Nyberg, a social services student, was elected as the Chair of the board. Mika Lukkarinen, who is studying business administration, was elected as the Vice-Chair.
In addition, six members were elected to the board:

Juno Olkkola, Social Services
Helmi Puranen, Agrologist
Nea Suorsa, Social Services
“I feel good and enthusiastic, next year will be great with this group,” says Silja happily. Mika says: “I am really looking forward to new experiences and people next year, as well as close cooperation with partner associations.”
Next, the board will begin familiarizing itself with the operations at its first orientation in a couple of weeks. The board’s term of office will begin in early January, after which you can reach everyone by email, the addresses are in the format firstname.lastname@hamko.fi.
