Our office and service point is open until Wed 13.5.2026 Mon-Fri 10am-2pm. The exception is the May Day holiday period, when we will be closed on May Day 1.5. and the following Monday 4.5.
After mid-May, we are open by agreement until Midsummer, so please contact us in advance if you need service on site at the Hämeenlinna Higher Education Centre.

Summer break
HAMKO’s office will be closed for a summer break in the middle of Midsummer until August. If you need service at the office, please visit us as soon as possible before then.
During the summer break, trusted representatives will answer all contacts. So, if necessary, you can contact us by email at hamko@hamko.fi. However, we kindly ask you to note that there may be a slight delay in responding to messages until the staff returns from their holidays. Our trustees will respond to messages in addition to their summer jobs.
Our experts will return to work on Monday, August 3, and will all be there to help you again.
The office will open on Monday, August 17, 2026. But if you need on-site service before then, please get in touch and we will arrange a time for you to visit.
Student cards
For new members: Joining the student union takes place online, so it can also be done in the summer. If you start your studies in the autumn of 2026, please note that you will receive a digital student card from the beginning of August. So you can start using the Slice digital student card in August.
If you also order plastic student card, they will be ordered during August. You will receive a notification in your HAMK student mail when the card has arrived from the printer.
