Alkupamaus 2026 is back to kick off the new academic year, this time with a 90s theme! The event includes a Task point tour, followed by an afterparty at Las Palmas and Bar Skogster. Welcome to Hämeenlinna on September 17, 2026!
We welcome all HAMK students, but you do not need to be a HAMK student to participate in the event.
Task Point Tour
The task point tour will take you back to the atmosphere of the 90s, with fun team challenges to complete along the way.
Form a team of 2 to 8 people and download the Appro App in advance. Only one member of the team needs to download the app. The task point tour starts from the HAMKO tent at Hämeenlinna Market Square on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Teams can start between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, during which your electronic task point pass will be activated in the Appro App in HAMKO tent.
Task points are open from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Teams that reach the finish will receive the event’s overall patches once the checkpoint course is marked as completed in the Appro App and upon showing their event wristbands. Please make sure to reach the finish by 10:00 PM. You will also be participating in the checkpoint competition, where the best team will be awarded a prize!
The HAMKO green tent at Hämeenlinna Market Square serves as both the starting point and finish area from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
⚠️ Please note: Some task points are located in restaurants and bars, so remember to bring a valid ID. Consuming your own beverages inside restaurants or in their immediate vicinity is not permitted. ⚠️
Afterparty
When the task points close and the nostalgic 90s vibe is at its peak, the afterparty begins at Las Palmas and Bar Skogster from 10:00 PM onward.
Performers: TBA (To Be Announced). In addition to the live performers, music will be provided by a DJ throughout the evening.

Tickets
Everyone is welcome to attend Alkupamaus, including students and anyone with a student spirit. HAMKO members receive discounted ticket prices.
Both tickets with afterparty access and tickets without afterparty access are available. Tickets including the afterparty also include entry to the afterparty venues and the cloakroom fee. Tickets can be purchased from Kide.app, the ticket sale starts at Sep 1st.
Purchased tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

If any afterparty tickets remain after the advance sale, standalone afterparty tickets will be available in Kide.app on the event day, September 17, starting at 6:30 PM.
Ticket Redemption
All participants must exchange their Kide.app ticket for an event wristband. The wristband serves as an entry ticket for the Task point tour and, for those with afterparty tickets, for the afterparty venues as well.
Advance Redemption
- At the HAMKO office from Monday, August 14 onward (Room C-138, Hämeenlinna University Centre Campus)
- The HAMKO office is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Advance redemption ends on Thursday, September 17 at 12:00 PM
Redemption on the Event Day
- Ticket exchange at Hämeenlinna Market Square from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Open your Kide.app ticket in advance to help speed up the queue
- If you have a HAMKO member-priced ticket, please have your student card or Slice mobile student card ready
Electronic Task point pass
For the Task point tour, one member of each team must activate the electronic task point pass in the Appro App at the starting point, the HAMKO tent, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on the event day.
Please note: Every participant must have an event wristband, but only one electronic task point passport is required per team.

Safety
Be prepared for the changing weather conditions of early autumn by dressing warmly and appropriately. Remember to eat well and stay hydrated throughout the event.
Please note that consuming your own beverages inside restaurants or directly outside them is not permitted. By following these rules together, we can continue organizing events at bars and nightclubs in the future.
We want everyone to feel safe at our event. Alkupamaus is a harassment-free event. If you experience any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior, please contact the event’s anti-harassment contact persons. Their contact information can be found in the task point pass and on HAMKO’s Instagram.
Also remember:
- Take care of your team and friends. Do not leave anyone alone.
- Be considerate of others and do not block public walkways.
- Let’s have fun in a positive spirit. Do not harass, discriminate against, or bully others.
- The decision to drink or not drink is a personal choice. Do not pressure anyone to consume alcohol.
- In emergencies requiring police, ambulance, or fire services, call 112.
- With nearly 1,000 students expected to join Alkupamaus, some waiting times and queues are inevitable during the event. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and encourage everyone to keep the good vibes going while waiting their turn. Together, we’ll make sure everyone has a great start to the academic year!
