HPK Approt is coming again – see you in February at Pohjantähti Arena!

Welcome along as HAMKO and HPK organize the third-ever HPK Approt on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Pohjantähti Arena in Hämeenlinna. The event will take place in connection with the HPK–KalPa Liiga game.

1 Event Schedule and Program

  • On the day of the event, the doors of Pohjantähti Arena will open at 5:00 PM.
  • The HPK – KalPa game starts at 6:30 PM.
  • You can complete appro pass tasks at pre-game, during intermissions, and also during the game.
  • After the game, there will be a player interview and the announcement of the appro competition winner at the arena’s Kerho Restaurant.
  • The arena closes at approximately 10:30 PM.

  • Admission to the HPK–KalPa Liiga game
  • Appro pass
  • Overall patch
  • Discounted prices at arena kiosks

Ticket Types and Prices

There are two types of tickets: discounted member tickets for members of the Häme University of Applied Sciences Student Union, and regular-priced tickets for non-members. HAMKO membership will be checked when redeeming the ticket. HAMKO membership can be proven either with a valid AMK student card provided by HAMKO or Slice mobile card (both display the HAMKO logo).

  • Standing section G (HAMKO member): €10  (This in 18+ section and is located in a licensed serving area)
  • Standing section G (non-member): €15 (This in 18+ section and is located in a licensed serving area)
  • Seated section A4 (HAMKO member): €15
  • Seated section A4 (non-member): €20

Purchased tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Instructions for Redeeming Your Purchased Ticket

Redeem your Kide.app ticket for a game ticket and appro pass either in advance or on the day of the event:

  • In advance: from the HAMKO office starting on Monday 16 February. The office is located at the Hämeenlinna Higher Education Centre in room C-138 and is open Monday – Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
  • On the day of the event: The main doors of the Pohjantähti Arena will open on the day of the event on February 19 at 5 pm. You will find the HAMKO information point in the main lobby. Tickets can be exchanged in the main lobby until the end of the 1st period.

If you redeem your ticket at the arena, please open your Kide.app ticket in advance to speed up the redeeming process and prevent long queuing times. If you have a HAMKO member-priced ticket, also present your student card or Slice app. HAMKO membership must be verified via a valid AMK student card or Slice mobile card (both display the HAMKO logo).

3 Seating Sections

Appro participants will gather in adjacent sections at the arena: one standing section and one seated section. You may choose either a standing or seated ticket.

Standing Section (section G)

  • Standing places are unnumbered
  • Section G is a licensed serving area, and as such is only for persons of age 18 or over
  • Remember to bring a valid ID

Seated Section (section A4)

  • Seats are numbered on the ticket, but you may sit anywhere within section A4
  • The seated section is not a licensed serving area, and as such drinks are not allowed in this section

Bringing your own drinks into the arena is not allowed.

4 Getting to the Arena

From Hämeenlinna city center, Pohjantähti Arena can be reached, for example by bus number 4 (link opens in a new tab). The arena is also within walking distance from the city center (1.8 km).

Arena doors open at 5:00 PM, entry through the main entrance.

5 Appro Task Instructions

Appro pass tasks can be completed at pre-game, during intermissions, and during the game. Task stamps can be obtained at arena sales points or at the HAMKO info desk. More detailed instructions can be found in the appro pass.

You can return your appro pass and receive your overall patch during the 2nd intermission at the HAMKO desk in the Kerho Restaurant.

PS. By wearing HPK’s orange color at the game, you can complete one appro task.

6 Pohjantähti Arena Safety Instructions

To ensure spectator safety, there will be a security check at the entrance.

Examples of Prohibited Items

  • Weapons, sharp objects, or other items that could be used to harm others
     (including large umbrellas)
  • Intoxicants such as alcohol or drugs
  • Fireworks, sprays, smoke devices, or similar items
  • Bottles and cans
  • Systems cameras (SLR) or video cameras without prior permission (media accreditation)
  • Air horns and vuvuzelas

Do not bring any unnecessary items that you will not need during the game.

7 Accessibility

Accessibility at the venue is limited. Accessible access can be arranged at the arena; however, please contact the event organizer in advance.

8 Anti-Harassment Contact Persons

We want to provide a harassment-free event. If you experience any form of harassment or inappropriate behaviour during the event, please contact HAMKO’s harassment contact persons. Their contact details can be found in the appro pass.

9 Additional Information

The event is organized by the Student Union of Häme University of Applied Sciences and Hämeenlinnan Pallokerho (HPK).
