HAMKO got a new employee, Elli Seppälä has started as an adviser in the student union at the beginning of August. Welcome Elli!
Ville Lempola, an adviser in quality processes and work career, moved on to new duties. We thank Ville for his work in the past years, and we wish him a lot of luck in the new winds.
Elli’s areas of responsibility include issues related to student community and careers. Student community as an area of responsibility is new in the student unions operations. Promoting and doing communality is the focus after a long period of remote working. The adviser helps to plan, create and produce community activities at all HAMK campuses.
Elli is a youth work professional who has moved to Häme area from Mikkeli. She is a community educator by training, and graduated 2021 from South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK). According to her, the highlight of her studies was an exchange in Brazil, where Elli made international friends and gained valuable international work experience in the field of community educator.
The first week went really fast and was full of new things. After my years of study, it’s fun to take a peek behind the scenes at students’ everyday life, comments Elli about her start at HAMKO.
I consider myself a creative person and it’s great to be able to come up with ideas for events, both big and small, for HAMK’s campuses. I can’t wait to meet students both on campus and at events! she continues.
If you come up with ideas related to communality, events or career services, feel free to contact Elli. She can be reached by email at elli.seppala@hamko.fi and by phone at +358 44 722 1007.
