Welcome to the second-ever HPK Approt event, organized by HAMKO and HPK, on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Pohjantähti Arena in Hämeenlinna, during the HPK-JYP Liiga game. JYP is a hockey team from Jyväskylä.
Event schedule and program
- On the event day, the doors of Pohjantähti Arena will open at 5:00 PM.
- HPK-JYP game will start at 6:30 PM.
- You can perform appro tasks during the intermissions and throughout the game.
- After the game, there will be a player interview and the announcement of the appro contest winner at the Kerho restaurant in the ice hall.
- The arena closes about at 10:30 PM.

Tickets will be available for sale on Thursday January 16, at 10:00 only through Kide.app application.

Ticket types and prices
- Standing ticket (HAMKO member) €10 (18+, section is located in the alcohol serving area)
- Standing ticket (non-member) €14 (18+, section is located in the alcohol serving area)
- Seated ticket A4 (HAMKO member) €15
- Seated ticket A4 (non-member) €19
Sections
Appro participants will gather in adjacent sections: one standing section and one seating section. You can purchase either a standing or a seating ticket.
- Standing places in Section G: Standing places are unnumbered.
- The standing area in Section G is designated as an alcohol-serving area and is intended for those aged 18 and over. Remember to bring a valid ID.
- Seating in Section A4: Seats are numbered on the ticket, but you may sit anywhere within Section A4
- The seated area is not an alcohol-serving area, so drinks are not allowed in the seated section.
It’s not allowed to bring your own drinks to the arena!

There are two types of tickets available: discounted tickets for members of the Student Union of the Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMKO) and regular-priced tickets for non-members. HAMKO membership will be verified when redeeming the ticket. HAMKO membership can be proven with a valid AMK student card issued through HAMKO or the Slice mobile card (both displaying the HAMKO logo).

Redeem your Kide.app ticket for a game ticket and appro pass either in advance or on the event day:
- In advance: Tickets can be picked up from HAMKO’s office starting Monday, February 10. The office is located at the Hämeenlinna University Center, room C-138. The office is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
or - On the event day: The main doors of Pohjantähti Arena will open at 5:00 PM on February 21. You can find HAMKO’s info desk in the main lobby. Tickets can be exchanged at the info desk until the end of the first period.
When picking up your ticket on the event day, to speed up the process, please have your Kide.app ticket open and, if you have a discounted ticket for HAMKO members, your physical student card or Slice ready. HAMKO membership can be shown through a valid AMK student card or Slice mobile card (both display the HAMKO logo).
Arrival at the Pohjantähti Arena
Pohjantähti Arena can be reached from Hämeenlinna city center, for example, by bus number 4. The following link shows you the route of line number 4: Line 4 The city center of Hämeenlinna is a walking distance from the Arena (1.8 km).

Arena doors open at 5:00 PM, with entry through the main entrance.
Pohjantähti Arena’s safety instructions
The security checks at the entrances to the Pohjantähti Arena for HPK’s home matches are accurate. Since every spectator is checked, queues may form.
Please remember that the order control only carries out checks to ensure spectator safety! Come on time and avoid the traffic jams!
Examples of prohibited items:
- Weapons, sharp objects or other items that can harm others (including large umbrellas)
- Substances such as alcohol and drugs
- Fireworks, sprays, smoke and the like
- Bottles and cans
- System cameras or video cameras without prior permission (Arena has a valid contract with media. Taking photos or videos by your phone for your personal social media is allowed)
- Air horns and vuvuzela horns
- Do not bring any extra stuff that you may not need during the match!
Pohjantähti Arena has video surveillance. The stands are also monitored by video.
