Standing for candidacy in the Student Union of HAMK’s Representative Council by-election begins on Monday 9.12.2024 at 12:00 and ends on Monday 13.1.2025 at 16.00.
Representative Council oversees defining policies of student union
Representative Council is the highest decision-making body in the Student Union. The Representative Council oversees defining policies and it confirms, for example, the yearly action plan and the budget for the Student Union. Official working language for the Representative Council is Finnish and decent form of understanding the language is required from applicants.
Members of the student union of Häme University of Applied Sciences can stand as candidates for the Representative Council
In the Representative Council by-election, the missing one (1) member of the Council is chosen for the term 2025. All members of the Student Union who have fulfilled their obligation* to the Student Union and are registered as present for the academic year 2024–2025 spring 2025 may stand for election.
You can stand for election as an independent candidate, electoral alliances and rings are not in use in by-election.

Important dates of the elections
The Representative Council election is electronic, and the voting link will be sent to all members.
The electoral officials will be named on 20.1.2025.
The list of those eligible to vote will be checked on 27.1.2025. All students, who have fulfilled their obligation* to the Student Union by that time, are eligible to vote in the Representatives Council election.
Voting will begin on Monday 3.2.2025 at 9:00 and end on Wednesday 5.2.2025 at 16:00.
By-election results will be announced by the latest on 6.2.2025.
The voting link for the electronic voting system will be sent to the Student Union member’s HAMK email address (@student.hamk.fi).
*Membership obligations refer to the following: You have paid your membership fee, your membership is valid and you have registered as an attending student at Häme University of Applied Sciences for the current semester.
