Today, HAMKO awarded three teachers with the Teacher of the Year award at HAMK’s Staff Days. Maria Hirvi, Kaija Tast and Janne Rautio were chosen as the Teachers of the Year.
The winners of the award were selected on the basis of a vote held in the spring 2020. We received 73 propositions and a total of 37 HAMK teachers were supported for Teacher of the Year.
In the vote, students gave excellent feedback in particular for the quality of distance learning during COVID-19 restrictions and the transparency of the assessment criteria.
The awards were presented by Sakari Vitikka, President of HAMKO’s Board, in a live broadcast from HAMK’s staff days.
