Student health care

When you are studying at HAMK, you have a right to receive health care, municipal health care and dental care and use HAMK's own health care services. HAMK has seven campuses and student health care have been organized different ways on different campuses. See more information about student health care on each HAMK campus below.

The school nurse will serve you for example on these matters:

  • health appointments
  • vaccinations
  • sexual and health counseling
  • first aid
  • questions about substance use
  • if you have questions or concerns about your health

If necessary, the school nurse will guide you to the right person who can help you.

Health care services for exchange students depend on where you are from. There are different regulations for Nordic, EU/EEA and other nationals. Read more information about insurances etc. from Study Finland and Finnish Immigration Services.
